Origionally I planned to reach out and help everyone. God knows you all need

my  help……Sorry, I somehow fell short on that end.

Have I actually helped anyone?  Yes—–One example—–

I got a phone call from a guest at the Marriot Hotel New Orleans. At

the time I was living  in Kenner,La.,out by the New Orleans Airport.

Let’s call him Joe. Joe explained the many years earlier he was a  student

at Tulane University and had called  AA for some help. He said,” I showed up ,

took him to a meeting, bought him a Big Book, and talked to him for a

couple of hours about not drinking. Well, Joe was young and just not ready

for such changes so he continued on his present lifestyle. A  few years later

when his life became more desperate he picked up the Big Book ,read it and

looked for an AA meeting. He said my phone number was written in the

inside cover of the Big Book . He felt that somehow I had helped him get on

the right path. He said,” I am visting New Orleans for a Doctor’s convention,

will you go to a meeting with me. We enjoyed the meeting and are still friends.

I know I only planted a few seeds back then but I was on cloud 9 for a short

time. Yes, I know that I did the right thing and it did help someone.Thank

You  and remember you are not alone….Until Next Time John

     If you have a good heart then,no matter what—-the good will come out to

see the world.

     If you have an evil heart then, no matter what—- the bad will come out to

see the world.

      I have always been  under the impression that every human being has

some good and some bad—–we just never know when that may  come out.

We may even say to ourselves,I wonder where that came from.

It is very important to live  in today—-The Present—-Our present

from our maker— Live for the good  24 Hours at A Time.

By all means do not focus on the bad, just discard it as it shows it’ s face.

REMEMBER

     Guilt always is focused on something in the past.

      Worry is always focused in smething in the future.

      Be content with what you have and where you are and

enjoy this wonderful Day.

        I cried when I had no shoes and then on day I meet a man

Lord…………I  know that life would be  drab  and not any fun if I did not have

I learned  in AA that each of us is just as sick as our own secrets. However

there are many forms of lies and deception.

Recently a friend of mine served 90 days in jail because of a DUI,and

plenty self-deception. It is easy to twist some simple facts and blame

others……..While he was in lockup someone broke into his trailer and

stole his TV and many other valuable things. Someone I know and

apparently trust stole some keep sake rings out of my jewery box. I was

complaining about my lost so he told me what he had lost. An old

quote came back to me……I cried when I had no shoes and the one day

I met someone with no feet.   No matter how bad we think things are,

someone out there is worst off than you.

No one likes a thief of any kind or form…….A thief is a thief no matter

what form he comes in.       Have a Great 24Hours…..John H.

The  main  enemy of sobreity is resentments. Our mind learns to resent

when we are young. Resentments cause the four greatest poisions to

our mental sobreity,which are hatred,anger,,jealousy,and self-centerer

greed and selfishness.The best antidotes for these poisons are love,good

will and charity toward others. this brings serenity and peace of mind.

Alcohol, drugs, or any other mind altering substancee will rob us of our

serenity. They are like thieves who break into your home and steal.

Our sobreity must come first for us to enjoy serenity.

What is God’s will for me…….Simply put,do the best you can each day,

do what is right and then leave the results up to him…… John Hadskey Jr.

Yesterday…it has gone my friend…It can only be recalled as a memory.

Tomorrow…it is still some kind of mystery.You can only speculate

what it may bring. Most speculation is just wishful thinking.

Today… is truly a gift from our maker. That is why it is called the present.

Now… This very moment is all we have and it will be gone in a flash.So

by all means possible make it a good memory. All Memories are really

just……………ONE MOMENT AT A TIME.    Thanks John H.

This nice AA couple somehow landed in a mental facility. Even though

were housed in different buildings they would somehow get out and walk

in  the garden  and around the pool together. One day he just ran and jumped

in the pool on the deepest end. Unfortunately for him, he could not swim at

at all. She could swim so she dove in and saved him.

Later her Doctor came to her and exclaimed…I have some very good new

news and some bad news.

The  good news is ,” You can go  home, you knew what to do and handled

yourself  just like a hero. Now for the bad news…We found your friend

hanging in his bathroom.”

She smiled and said,”He will be ok, I just hung him there to dry.”
