EXPECTATIONS

Sunday, March 28th, 2010

HOW HIGH ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS ?

When you do something for someone else do you expect something in retutn ?

When you say your prayers do you expect an answer  right away and do

you expect it on your terms ?

I have had an awful hard time trying  figure out just what Gods

Will is for me.

Acceptance  is the key to my relationship with Him. I have learned never

just do nothing and just wait for him to tell me what to do. I have learned,

To do what is front of me each day and leave the results up to

Him.

However it turns out is His Will Not Mind…So I don’t let my expectations

get in the way.  Enjoy the next 24 hours and don’t expect  that bolt of

lightning or a loud Heavenly voice to give you your daily instructions.

UNTIL NEXT TIME…….John

RUT

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

If you find yourself in a rut, by all means possible stop digging. A rut is just a grave that hasn’t been filled in yet.

Self depreciating—self limiting— talk and thinking will drag you down in a     heartbeat.

If you wake up in the morning and feel lousy and that life is just not worth     anything. Ask God to guide you through this day.

Then look at your sitituation and think of someone worse off than you.That is easy….Remember the old saying ,I cried when I had no shoes…then I met someone with no feet.

Do something…anything to get you out of negative thinking.Smile in front of a mirrow…force it if you have to. Find something to laugh about…even it is about yourself. Laughter is the best medicine  you can find anywhere. It beats alcohol or pills anyday.

Turn up the music and dance. If that sounds silly to  just do some exercise. All of these suggesions are short term,but must be used daily.

Now, use your brain power to find a project to do. Help someone or do something you have been putting off.The secret is to finish it. When you finish doing something  your self confidence and self esteam get a big lift.

All of this lifts one out of a rut….

Enjoy you next 24 hours….Until Next Time. John Hadskey

Long version of the Serenity Prayer

Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change;

Courage to change the things I can and the Wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;Enjoying one moment at a time;

Accepting hardships as a pathway to peace;

Taking, as He did,this sinful world as it is,not as I would have it;

Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;

That I may be reasonably happy is this life and supremely happy

with Him in the next. Amen

This prayer was first written by Rheinhold Neihbar and copyrighted for a church in 1928. The first few line are used By AA  Groups and members

worldwide. I copied it fron a small booklet on Acceptance published by

Abbey Press…..St. Meinrad, Indiana 47577

I have decieded to use my blog to list and tell about local AA. Known as

Love in your Heart

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Strangely enough…an awful lot of folks are searching for

Love. Unfortunately sometimes it is in all the wrong

places. Some folks have been deprived of Love  almost

all of their life.

It is like the acres of diamonds story. A farmer leaves

home to search for diamonds…never to find them.

However at a later time the largest diamond mine

in history was found right on his land. The moral is …

often times what  we are searching for is

right under our noses all along.

Take time to open your heart . In everyones heart

is all the love they will ever need. There is no need to

travel the world is despair,just searching for something

we have inside us already, And the best part it is free.

Please take the next 24 hours to look in a mirrow and

Love yourself first…when you go out tell soneone that

you Love them. Don’t miss the opportunity . It will do

you good…..Until  Next Time…I Love You…John

AGE—– What keeps us ticking

Din=dn’t you know… My Battery

I have been a bit slow. I don’t want  to say  LAZY   You know that feeling.

So many things to do….

So many excuses….Reasons to just let them go.

Someone just say. Take a couple of steps backward and then

watch yourself pass you by.

When I was young in the 1940′s the average length was  in the 40′s

It mave rapitly up to the sixties and now it is in the seventies.

Sometimes I feel I have lived to long. Do you ever get that feeling.

Whenever I get that feeling I focus on One-Day At -A-Time. I also

reach out to someone else. I realze now that this recharges my battery…

and that my friend is how I am able to keep on ticking.

Reach out and help someone today

Best way I know to recharge your battery

Oh I feel so lucky and grateful…When I slip and fall

into a river, I seem to always come out with a pocket

full of Fish…Until Next Time….John
