WE NEED BALANCE

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

There are five things that we all need to do on a consistant schedule.

They are to be aware of putting them in a balanced order so that we can

enjoy each 24 hours we live. Just a little bit of each daily.

One…Physical—Good Health, eat a good diet, get excerise and plenty sleep

Two…Mental—-Forgetfullness  and mental blocks caused be false beliefs, and depression

Three…Spiritual—This is not orginized religion,it is doing good things each day and  living clean and sober.” He who thinks right is spiritual”

Four… Finanicial— Very important to become self- efficent. No Job means no money. Creates  low self esteem and all sorts of emotions.

Five…Emotional— This covers our feelings, anger, fears, resentments of all kinds, prejudices, and our mental  thoughts  that can control the things we do,even without thinking about it.

Above are five areas of our live we need to balance in order to live a good well balnced life.Awareness and just a little bit each day will be enough.

One who lives a balanced life has a better chance of success  by living each day …Happy… Joyous… and Free of bad Emotions.

I sincerily hope this article helps someone out there. Until

Next Time…Have a wonderful 4424 hours. You deserve it. John

A serious Side

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

I want to think all of you for your great comments. I

have not been up to date on answering them. About questions

about what direction I am headed.  I am very serious about this

business of improving my life each 24hours and helping  other

people do the same. Once about 4 years ago long before I started

to blog I filled out what was called Your Dream. In it I stated

that I would like to create a Log Cabin in each state to house AA

and NA  groups. The reason is because a large portion of these

groups depend on churches or other club houses to have a place

to hold their meetings. All are susposed to be self effecient but

most struggle just to pay the monthly rent and have little

left over for  books and materials they truly need to improve.

It is true that both have great people that help.  Anyway I seem

to be rambleing on and on so I will give you more later.

Have a  great day  for now …Enjoy your next 24 hours….

Let me know how you feel about this subject…Until

Next Time…John   I will continue this soon.

A little Humor

Monday, April 19th, 2010

An elderly couple with many years of marriage and also long

term sobriety went to visit another couple with the same status.

The wife noticed that her friend called her husband honey, sugar,

and sometimes sweety. Both men went outside to talk so she saw

her chance to shine.

I thank you are wonderful after all these years, you express so much

love by calling your husband these sweet names.

THE OTHER WIFE REPONDED… The  truth is I forgot his name and

have been a little afraid to ask him.

BACK ON THE SERIOUS SIDE

” God Willing, we members of Alcoholics Anonymous may never again

have to deal with drinking ,but we do have to live with living with sobriety

every day.

How do we do it ?….

By learning—Through practing the twelve steps daily

and by sharing with others at meeetings—just how to cope

with problems that we looked to booze to solve , back in

our drinking days…”  Reprinted from an AA material with permission

Since I decieded to share my AA history along with my experience,

strength and hope on this Blog I feel better about myself. Thanks for

reading it . May you have a wonderful 24 hours. Until Next Time…John

DIFERENT OUT LOOKS

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

DIFFERENT OUTLOOKS ON LIFE.

WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT  IN SO MANY WAYS

WE ARE ALL ALIKE IN SO MANY WAYS

Am I contradicting myself or what….The truth is that two people

can look at the same thing and see something different.

I heard a true story once… This man’s wife had a nice hat

and it had a plume of feathers on one side, She decieded to give it

away to someone less forturnate than herself. A couple of weeks

passed and the proud new owner of this hat came to church

wearing the hat. Everone admired the hat and she got many

compliments on how nice it looked.SHE HAD  REPLACED THE

FEATHERS WITH SOME SMALL FLOWERS….

The origional hat owner was upset and mad…..She told her husband

that the second lady had ruined the hat and if she knew that if

she would change the feathers like that she would have not given

her the hat in the first place.

Is this just not about control. I WANT WHAT I WANT WHEN I WANT

IT AND LIKE I WANT IT….NO EXCEPTIONS

ONCE THE HAT IS GIVEN  CAN’T SHE REALIZE THAT IT IS NO LONGER

HERS.    OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE WHO THEY AND DO

THINGS THE WAY THEY SEE THINGS

Slow down and accept things. We cannot change anything out past our

nose….

Only how we see things  and then change what is inside us.

Have a wonderful day……Until Next Time…John

Although my 24 hourteam is still just thoughts …

THOUGHTS HAVE A WAY OF BECOMMING THINGS

Chief Critic

Monday, April 5th, 2010

Shakespeare said, ” All the world is a stage, and all the men and women in it are merely players.”

He forgot to mention that I was the chief critic. I am and always able to see ever flaw in everyone else and very quick to point this out.

Slow down and remember acceptance….

I have learned through acceptance  that every man and woman on this

earth has a right to be here and do the things they do. It is not my place to

object or try to change others   into my way of thinking.

When I can remember this and hold my own emotions down life can be

great. Use this to enjoy  your next 24 hours. Until Next Time… John
